Description
Summary:The article discusses the issues of feasibility study of R&D in the field of design and implementation of mining dump trucks with autonomous traffic control. A review of the current state of the world shows that the use of autonomous equipment in open-pit mining is acquiring industrial scale and developing at a rapid pace. Autonomous mining dump trucks have the following advantages: they can work 24/7, since such technology is deserted, make it possible to reduce the width of the roadway, provide an increase in the angle of ascent, and do not require a position for turning, increase productivity, and ensure the safety of mining operations.
