description This article analyses the trajectory of a graphical worker, Edvaldo Ratis, a trade union leader who acted between 1945 and 1964 on the city of Recife. He developed an intense work intending to organize, politicize and mobilize the working class, through the newspaper for this category, named O Gráfico. As a militant on the Communisty Party, he tried to defend his proposals on the trade union sphere, as well as in general politics.
