Summary: | In this contribution, I focus on text genres and how texts in the context of German as a Foreign Language at primary school level in Western Switzerland. I analyse the regional curriculum, the “Plan d’études Romand (PER)”, and two textbooks and discuss how texts and text genres are used in and transformed by the context of language teaching and learning. In the last part of this article I focus on the specific professional literacies required with reference to first results of qualitative research in a primary school in the canton of Vaud. |
