Recent advances have greatly illuminated on the virologic and immunologic dynamics of HIV infection. In the light of these findings, an individual’s risk of disease progression can be assessed early in the course of the infection and the efficacy of antiretroviral therapies can now be determined accurately and expeditiously. |
