| Summary: | <p align="center"><strong><em>Abstrak</em></strong></p><p>Salah satu tahapan dalam pembuatan kerajinan <em>chenille strips</em> adalah memotong lapisan kain menggunakan <em>cutter</em> khusus. <em>Cutter</em> khusus kerajinan <em>chenille strips</em> tidak diproduksi di Indonesia. Harga c<em>utter </em>khusus <em>chenille strips </em>terlalu mahal jika dibandingkan dengan alat potong universal seperti pisau <em>cutter </em>dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memodifikasi <em>cutter</em> universal sehingga bisa digunakan untuk memotong lapisan kain pada kerajinan <em>chenille strips</em>. Produk hasil modifikasi ini memiliki tingkat efisiensi tingkat kinerja dan perbandingan harganya. Dengan alat ini, perajin kerajinan <em>chenille strips</em> dapat memiliki alat potong khusus dengan harga yang murah. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Kata Kunci : </strong><em>chenille strips</em>, <em>cutter</em> Pemotong untuk <em>chenille strips</em>, <em>chenille</em> <em>cutter </em>modifikasi,</p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p align="center"><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p><em>One of steps in the making of Chenille Strips are cutting layers of fabric using special cutter. This special tool isn’t produced in Indonesia, furthermore, the price is still high when compared with universal cutting tools such as scissors, knives, utility knives etc. This research is underway to modify the utility cutter so that can be used to cut the layer as in the process of making chenille strips. These modified tool has a high level of performance and producing cost efficiency.
