Summary:The electrical power quality monitoring has been a recurring theme due to the growth in the expense, mainly inside the industries, caused by equipments failure because of the electrical disturbances. In this context, the use of embedded systems, with its low cost and high performance, have growth, what has allowed the monitoring of the electrical networks be made more efficiently. Hence, this paper shows a systematic literature map, where 552 papers were mapped and 56 were selected to study and analyze the research questions: which are the methods/algorithms most used to detect and/or classify disturbances?, which are the embedded platform most used?, and which are the disturbances more addressed in the literature?
