Summary:Abstract : This study aims to show the policy of torture that was applied on Algerian people by the officers of the french colonialism army during the period of Algerian revolution (1954-1962). As a principle, and since the collaps of Algiers city (the capital) in jully 5th,1930, the colonialist administration had a diversity in the means, the manners and the styles of torture and punishment. In order to make a full dominaton over Algerian people. As a result, the fear and panic were totally spead within the society. At last, the colonial authorities in Algeria realized that the only way to be strong was to take information by force and torture.
