The Case for an Exemplarist Approach to Virtue in Catholic Moral Theology

How far can an exemplarist approach to the Passion be taken? While not emptying the Cross of its redemptive power, it is still possible, through a Thomistic angle, uphold Christ crucified as a the supreme example and ultimate expression of Christ as the universal model of human virtue and morality.
