Summary:With the development of scramjet technology, efficient mixing and combustion of fuel in combustion chamber has become a research hotspot. The residence time of fuel in the combustion chamber is extremely short under high Mach number flight conditions, and the mixing process has an important impact on the heat release of fuel and incoming flow. Therefore, a high-efficiency fuel injection scheme is needed, and a variety of mixing enhancement approaches have been proposed and studied. In this paper, the research progress of mixing enhancement approaches, such as transverse injection, cavity, shock/shear layer interaction and wavy wall, are reviewed, and the mechanism and characteristics of various mixing enhancement approaches are summarized. Finally, the future research directions of mixing enhancement technology is prospected.
