description Acute occlusion of the infrarenal aorta is a life-threatening condition. In this case report, a young male patient had localized thrombus in the abdominal aorta on computed tomography. Transfemoral embolectomy was performed twice to ensure blood flow in the lower extremity. The abdomen was opened due to the absence of regression in the complaints during the follow-up. Aortic thromboendarterectomy and aortic closure was performed. In conclusion, we think that aorta-iliac endarterectomy is as effective as the other treatment methods for young patients with atherosclerotic mural thrombus in the infrarenal aorta.
