description | Abstract In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the evaluating Member State (EMS), Austria, received an application from Dow AgroSciences (DAS) to set an import tolerance for the active substance haloxyfop‐P (haloxyfop‐R) in soya beans from import country, Argentina, at the proposed level of 0.5 mg/kg. According to EFSA, the data are sufficient to support an import tolerance of 0.5 mg/kg for the proposed use on soya beans. Analytical methods to enforce residues of haloxyfop‐P were proposed. However, EFSA reiterates the recommendation from the Article 12 MRL review that a fully validated method and its independent laboratory validation (ILV) are required. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concludes that the proposed use of haloxyfop‐P on soya beans will not result in a consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference values and therefore is unlikely to pose a consumer health risk. |
