Summary: | One pot, three-component synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridines using ionic liquid 3,3′-thionyl-bis-1,1′-methylimidazolium chloroaluminate ([tbmim]Cl2/AlCl3) was found to be efficient to afford good to excellent yields at room temperature under ultrasonic irradiation.
