Summary:The development of market relations is accompanied by the processes of transformation in the structures of all spheres of social activity, including social security system. On this basis a new perspective of relevance and distribution starts up in Russian society and it is focused on solving social problems of society. This article reviews the basic aspects of the organization of social work in the Scandinavian countries. The aim of the study is to identify and study the main directions of social policy in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Proceeding from the experience of these countries, the aspects in the field of social work are specified, those that are acceptable for the domestic system of work with various groups of population. The task of the article is to study and to analyze literary sources. At the end of the work it was concluded that in all Scandinavian countries social policy is firmly connected with the concept of “a welfare state”, which has undergone a significant transformation recently, herewith it is marked that domestic social services can adopt such forms of work as a high level of social benefits and a responsible approach to official duties in the social service system.
