| Summary: | <p><strong>Abstract:</strong></p><p>This article examines Gabriel Bocángel’s «Censura» to Luis de Ulloa Pereira’s <em>La Raquel</em>, analyzing the text in order to isolate aesthetic judgments. In order to do so, we will first explain the «Censura»’s context, starting with the controversy around the work it comments, <em>La Raquel</em>. In the second place, we will describe the document itself and the <em>status quaestionis</em> around it. Finally, and profiting from this contextual basis, we will classify the «Censura»’s arguments, beginning with those contained in Bocángel’s «advertencias» and continuing with those from Ulloa’s «respuestas», which we will contrast in order to build our conclusion about the nature of Ulloa Pereira’s aesthetics.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Resumen:</strong></p><p>Este artículo examina la «Censura» de Gabriel Bocángel a <em>La Raquel</em> de Luis Ulloa Pereira, analizando el texto para aislar en él los elementos susceptibles de contener opiniones estéticas. Para ello, explicaremos en primer lugar el contexto que dio origen a la «Censura», incluyendo necesariamente el de la obra que comentan los dos poetas en ella, <em>La Raquel</em>. En segundo lugar, nos dedicaremos a describir el documento en sí y el estado de la cuestión acerca del mismo. Por último, y sobre esta base contextual, podremos ya pasar a clasificar los argumentos de la «Censura», comenzando por los que conforman las «advertencias» de Bocángel y siguiendo por los que esgrimen las «respuestas» de Ulloa Pereira, argumentos que contrastaremos para alcanzar una conclusión acerca de la estética del poeta toresano.</p> |
