Description
Summary:Ferulago brachylobae-Daucetum setifolii, ass. nova is described from the southern edge of the Sierra Morena in the Córdoba province (Andalusia, Spain). It is characterised by the two hemicryptophytes naming the association, usually located in heliophilous and rupicolous or scree degraded areas, shaping an open community of low cover. Seventeen plots were studied during late summer in the surroundings of Córdoba town (the West Iberian Mediterranean province, the Luso-Extremadurese subprovince and the Marianese-Monchiquese sector). The new association grows in the thermo-Mediterranean and meso-Mediterranean thermotypes belonging to the Rumici indurati-Dianthion lusitani alliance, the Phagnalo saxatilis-Rumicetalia indurati order and the Phagnalo-Rumicetea indurati class.
