Design and construction of strain gauge interface pressure transducer for measurement of static and dynamic interface pressure applied by pressure garments and its relationship to deep vein thrombosis

Description
Summary:Many prophylactic and therapeutic devices used in orthopaedics and rehabilitation medicine apply both static and dynamic pressure on the skin of the body. Oftentimes, the pressure applied by these devices may not be ascertained and when the external compressing pressure is known, the actual or interface pressure may not be a reflection of the externally applied pressure. This transducer can be routinely used clinically to ensure that various devices in clinical practice apply adequate and safe pressures.
