Summary: | The
study investigates the mediating role of emotional quotient in the relationship
between life satisfaction and resilience. Many studies in the literature
indicate that a person’s life satisfaction is correlated with resilience level.
Also, many authors have reported that emotional quotient is positively
associated with life satisfaction and resilience. Structural equation modeling
has been designed to reveal the relationship between life satisfaction,
resilience and emotional quotient. Study data were obtained from the students
receiving education in Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam
University, Faculty
of Economics and Administrative Sciences. As predicted from the previous
studies, it was determined that life satisfaction was positively correlated
with resilience in a statistically significant way. Furthermore, it was
revealed that emotional quotient mediated the relationship between life
satisfaction and resilience. According to the results, the study provides
considerably useful implications for the parties concerned.
