A fast insight into the optical solitons of the generalized third-order nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation

The optical solitons of the generalized third-order nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation are investigated by Liu et al. (2022). In this letter, we propose a new one-step method namely the direct mapping method for the first time to study it. By this method, four sets of the soliton solutions are constru...

description The optical solitons of the generalized third-order nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation are investigated by Liu et al. (2022). In this letter, we propose a new one-step method namely the direct mapping method for the first time to study it. By this method, four sets of the soliton solutions are constructed in one step. The obtained results in this work fully prove the proposed method is simple but effective, which can avoid the tedious calculations, and is expected to bring some new inspiration to study of the PDEs in physics.
