Summary:Haj Mehdi Qoli Khan entitled Mokhberossaltaneh (1242-1334 AH), was one of the great man of the political and cultural contemporary. His social and political life were full of important events and changes. Mokhberossaltaneh played a significant role in contemporary Iranian history about half of a century, especially in the events of Constitutional revolution. He did many prominent offers and also attended in the most of the cabinets. His political life covered under the last six kings of Iran six kings. He got the top of position in the period of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi (the President of the ministers). He was interested in cultural subjects and he compiled some works in this field. His thoughts about tradition, religion and modernity were remarkable and their impacts on his, political, social and cultural performance could be seen. He kept balanced in the confrontation between tradition and modernity in his time and did not prefer any of them over another. This article is going to show the relationship between his thought and interpretation of tradition, religion and modernity based on primary source, document and new researchtheoretically.
