This article explores the constructivist philosophical base and its influence in chemical education. Recent ‘reforms’ in the Greek educational system, based on constructivist ideas, weaken chemistry teaching and reduce chemistry in the curriculum. The philosophical base of constructivism is related with some main philosophical dimensions of chemistry. |
