Because of this it is possible to identify Renaissance and humanism, specially in works such as Pico de la Mirandolla’s Oration on the Dignity of Man, which puts personal dignity on the same level than freedom. To Pico the simultaneous restoration of the culture of Antiquity and the praise of the creative person culminates and constitutes the origin of a new myth, that of the learned man whose words reveal his inner being. |
