description The relationship between social capital and neighborhood characteristics is the central focus of this study. Variables gender, having children under 18, education and marital status are related to levels of social capital. In addition, some evidence suggests that levels of social capital are correlated with the presence of of "New Urbanist" traits in neighborhoods.
