Summary:The Supplier selection problem (SSP) is associated with deciding how one supplier should be selected from a number of potential alternatives. This paper describes the decision-making process and explains the case study of purchasing a pressure reactor in Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIP!). Comparative study shows that the presented model has a valid mathematical basement and is a simply applicable model. We believe that applying the model helps the procurement managers in most effective manner dealing with his decision-making problems.
