Summary: | In this study, I examine how Finnish literature meets Romanian literature in the activities of a literary society based in Hungary, the La Fontaine Society. Using André Lefevere’s concepts (literary system, rewriting, patronage, institutions, poetics, ideology, manipulation), I am looking for the answer to what motivated the selection of works for translation and publication.
