description The necessity to impel studies, of sensitizing about the demographic problems and the dangers that Santiago from Cuba faces is urgent. For it, the Demography studies the population's movements and it can contribute to the understanding of its characteristics, dynamics and tendencies, through the behaviors of the demographic variables, since they are the reflection at social level of the performance of the populations. The written present seeks to carry out an analysis of the behavior of the variable fecundity, determining its influence on the populational aging that one manifests in the population of Santiago de Cuba, that which will offer valuable analysis for a future administration after improving the conditions of health, social, urban and of services in the county.
