Description
Summary:This article analyses modalities of access to pharmaceuticals in the Indian Capital, Delhi, with a special attention to the part of medical shops in the diffusion process of pharmaceuticals in the urban space. The author first examines the distribution of medical shops at the urban scale. Then he focuses on co-presence effects between medical shops and other players of the healthcare system, trying to understand the underlying motives of such spatial arrangements. The third part of this article enlarges the vision of the reader, sliding from a strict spatial analysis to the larger concept of access.
