----- Abstract ---
The article focuses on the integration between narrative and dramaturgical approaches to the training of health care professionals. The starting point will be some selected literary passages by Walter Benjamin and Thomas Mann. Following the sharing and discussion of these passages in a workshop, participants will be encouraged to relate
their own autobiographical stories of disease and treatment in the form of short performances based on that. My idea is that tackling the imagination of disease and treatment in a performative way, involving the body directly in action, can help to shape emotional responses and enhance resilience. The workshop will be useful both as a training for
health workers and as fieldwork on the imagining of disease for researcher.
