But now the Curial congregations sessioni are available for consultation in the Vatican Secret Archive. The sessione 1252 presented in the stampa 1094 exposes the Pius XI’s decision to maintain or to condemn a Mexican secret catholic society. It is this document which is here presented, in order that this case may help us to understand the decisions of the Holy Seat during the pope Ratti’s administration, and the follow-up in particular for the decisions taken at the beginning of his pontificate and during the thirties. The document presents briefly the context of creation of the "U", its organization and action and its importance in the Mexican society. |
