description In the recent study, we described a novel iron nanoparticles green-mediated by arabic coffee as a novel anticancer agent (FeNPs). The recent nanoparticles were analyzed by Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), elemental mapping, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy (UV–Vis). The iron nanoparticles showed the best antioxidant activities against DPPH. The IC50 of iron nanoparticles and BHT against DPPH free radicals were 165 and 62 µg/mL, respectively. In the oncological part of the recent study, the treated cells with iron nanoparticles were assessed by MTT assay for 48 h about the cytotoxicity and anticancer properties on normal (HUVEC) and lung cancer cell lines. The IC50 of iron nanoparticles were 273, 216, and 250 µg/mL against HT144, SKMEL2, and WM266-4 cell lines, respectively. The viability of malignant cell lines reduced dose-dependently in the presence of iron nanoparticles.
