| Summary: | The paper is devoted to the peculiarities in explication of Latin phrases by ordinary native speakers. It aims at the study of interaction of naive and professional components of linguistic consciousness. The differences in interpretations of Latin phrases by representatives of different social and cultural groups are reviewed in the paper. Particular attention is paid to the analysis and study of the approaches to definition of linguistic personality and the phenomenon of such cognitive field of language and speech activity as ordinary metalinguistic consciousness. The material of the study in the article was secondary texts describing linguistic personality in terms of its professional development. The practical significance of this study lies in the fact that the results obtained in the study contribute to linguistic personology of the text, ordinary metalinguistics and secondary text theory. |
