| description | The objectives of this research were 1) to study the history of Mr. Chettha Chairasmi, heir of the National Artist, and 2) to study the process of making Pong Lang by Chettha Chairasmi. The research tools were surveys, interview forms and observation forms. Field data was obtained from surveys, interviews and observations using a group of knowledge experts in Isan folk music, 3 people, 3 practitioners, and 10 general informants. Data was verified by using a triangular method of analysis. According to research objectives then present, the research results were reported by descriptive and analytical method. The results showed that. 1. Mr. Chettha Chairasmi is the last son of Kru Plueng Chairasmi, a National Artist Performing Arts (Folk music) of the year 1986. Currently, Mr. Chettha Chairasamee is 51 years old and married to Mrs. Samruay Chairasamee, has 2 children (1 male and 1 female). Their children are Mr. Pornphon Chairasamee and Ms. Praphan Chairasamee. 2. The process of making the Isan folk instrument, Pong Lang, with the quality of Mr. Chettha Chairasmi, the heir of the national artist. Performing Arts (Folk music) of the year 1986 The process of making Pong Lang can be divided into 9 steps, which are; Step 1, wood selection, step 2, wood preparation, step 3, wood forming, step 4, wood turning, step 5, ball cutting. Pong Lang Step 6 Slashing for sound compound step 7 drilling the hole step 8 Stringing, step 9 sound testing. |
