description The tillage treatment of the top layer is able to regulate the movement of water flow in the soil and consequently affect water management in the landscape. Reduction of soil permeability to water leads to an increase in surface water runoff and soil erosion. One of the major aims in objectives of soil processing is the regulation of its hydro-physical properties, mainly saturated hydraulic conductivity Ks of the treated layer. This work evaluates the impact of different agro technologies on the saturated hydraulic conductivity Ks of loamy soil in the locality Bohaté Málkovice. Field experiments were performed in the period 2008 – 2011 during the growing season of cultured crops on Haplic Chernozem (FAO). The experimental plots are approximately 300 m apart; they are processed for long-term by different tillage technologies (the conventional ploughing to a depth of 22 cm and the reduced tillage - during autumn the cultivation of spring crops is done by vertical hoeing of soil to a depth of 20 cm). The plots were sowed alternately with winter crops and summer crops. To determine saturated hydraulic conductivity Ks of the surface layer was used double-ring infiltration method; to evaluate the field measurement of infiltration the three-parametric equation of Philip’s type was used, which provides a good estimation of saturated hydraulic conductivity Ks. Repeated conventional tillage slightly changed saturated hydraulic conductivity Ks after three years of usage. The value of Ks for reduced tillage has increased more than twice and has exceeded the value of Ks of 1/4 for conventional tillage. Reduced tillage of medium heavy loamy soils in this area appears to be more advantageous in economic and environmental terms.
