In recent years, there has been an alarming rise in anemia prevalence among adolescent boys (15–19 years) in 23 states, and among men (15–49 years) in 17 states. Anemia in the states of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is a severe public health problem. Despite being a vital issue, indicators for anemia in men are not given due importance in national health statistics reports. This article highlights the issue to prioritize men's health in the context of anemia at state and national levels. |
