description In order to obtain the changing pattern of contact force of fault planetary gear system,a dynamics model of fault planetary gear system is established and the computation method for contact force of gear meshing based on Hertz theory is also introduced,with the dynamics model,the fault planetary gear system is simulated.The results show that compared with the normal contact force of planetary gear system,the contact force of snaggletooth of planetary gear system contains obvious cyclical impact in time domain.In the frequency domain,not only the failure frequency is found,but also fault characteristic that failure frequency stands for side band in meshing frequency and the frequency doubling is appeared.Through the research of dynamics of fault planetary gear system,the reference and basis are provided for planetary gear system fault diagnosis.
