description Aim of the investigation — to study serum levels of apolipoprotein A1 and B and their ratio in 174 young adults (average age — 22.47 ± 0.30 years) with childhood-onset growth hormone deficiency. Materials and methods. The study involved 174 patients (124 males) aged 19 to 34 years. The follow-up period was up to 36 months. Results. It was found that on the background of the treatment with recombinant growth hormone (rGR), there is a gradual increase in the levels of apolipoprotein A1, a decrease in apolipoprotein B levels and normalization of their ratio in most patients after 6–12 months that reduces cardiovascular risk factors in the future. Conclusions. Against the background of rGR therapy in young adults with childhood-onset growth hormone deficiency, there are significant positive changes in some parameters of the lipid profile, namely — substantial increase in apolipoprotein A1 levels, a decrease in the serum content of apolipoprotein B and apoB/apoA1 ratio.
