Summary:The paper tackles the artificial neural networks (ANN) based load forecasting issue. It aims to define a set of "standard" load curves. They are representing the background to perform a prognostic regarding the forecast quality based on known data set. A case study is used as an example. Daily load curves forecasting is performed. A software tool has been developed in Matlab environment. The results are compared with the ones obtained for "standard" load curves.
