description Knowledge and know-how sharing is described by China as one of the successes of the Chinese medical teams (CMT) program in Africa, yet it has scarcely been studied. The case study of the EMC at the Mbalmayo Hospital in Cameroon allows examining the influence of Cameroonian actors on this program. Most are not interested in such sharing because of the financial considerations and career paths that characterize the public health system in Cameroon. Those who are interested lack job security or face obstacles to their professional advancement, and thus seek to develop private activities. What they learn with CMTs is useful to them in activities that are at the intersection of public health and private practices.
