| Summary: | Proton pump inhibitors take the leading place in treatment of acid-related diseases of the digestive system. Compared to other proton pump inhibitors pantoprazole (Controloc) has higher chemical stability and less potential for interaction with hepatic oxidase system, which depends on cytochrome P450. Pantoprazole (Controloc) does not accumulate, and in case of repeated drug intake during the day pharmacokinetics does not change. So, there is no need for special selection of the dose of pantoprazole in elderly patients or in patients with renal insufficiency and with moderate hepatic impairment. |
