Summary: | The article informs about the possibilities of additional
data exploitation from the Federal population
census relative to commuter and place of work
statistics. In the region of Berne in 1980 the detailled
localization of the work or school sites within the
municipalities has been encoded additionally to the
municipality number. Due to the lack of some
informations on the census papers the data sets have
partly to be count up proportionally according to
specified rules. As result one gets detailled commuter
matrices and place of work statistics for small areas,
which are usefull for urban research, specifically for
transport planning. The figures show the development
of the work places in the town of Berne and the
commuter streams from the surroundings to the
central town. |
