description Perfect possession of practical skills in urgent care settings is crucial in the professional training of doctors.  The aim of this work is to analyze the training of physicians who start internship in Pediatrics and Neonatology specialties, to perform basic practical skills in urgent care settings. Material and Methods. A survey of 53 interns from the specialty "Pediatrics" and "Neonatology" was conducted regarding the ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, and others. Results and Discussion. It was found that the highest level of preparation at the pre-graduation stage of medical education was determined for such manipulations as cardiopulmonary resuscitation - 92.3%, making a combat application tourniquet - 81.2%, rescue breathing -71.7%, catheterization of peripheral veins - 66.1%. Instead, among the graduates of medical institutions there were people who had never seen or done rescue breathing (3.7%), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (1.9%), combat application tourniquet (7.5%), vein catheterization (3,7%), which disables the work of those people in medicine. Conclusions. Special attention during internship training should be given to the skills necessary to perform all the manipulations that are necessary in emergency situations, especially to focus on conicotomy (13.2% of respondents), catheterization of the bladder (15%), pleural puncture (7,7%). It is very important to pay attention to the compulsory development of emergency skills for all medical students.
