Description
Summary:This article discusses the importance of baby’s corporeity in the symbolization construction and in the expansion of his psychic life. The work is based on the psychoanalytic reference, in particular the notions of movement (Konicheckis, 2015) and primary symbolization (Roussillon, 2013, 2019). To illustrate such a theoretical perspective, a fragment of baby observation will be explained, carried out from the Esther Bick method. Such an observation points out the sensations and movement relevance in order the baby establishes contact with himself and with the world, organizing his psychic experiences. An attentive look at these primary processes allows broadening the understanding about the self-construction, as well as enlightening the richness of what is in early childhood training.
