The Hindered Settling Velocity of Particles of Any Shape in Low Reynolds Number Flow

This article takes insights from a previously derived mathematical framework for the free settling velocity of particles of any shape to model analytical constructs to solve the hindered settling velocity of hard particles of any shape. Because the geometry of the physical environment and continuity...

Achoimre:This article takes insights from a previously derived mathematical framework for the free settling velocity of particles of any shape to model analytical constructs to solve the hindered settling velocity of hard particles of any shape. Because the geometry of the physical environment and continuity can be strictly enforced in the construct model, the relative velocity of the fluid front pumped upward by the settling particles can be found, thus allowing for calculation by subtracting the front velocity from the calculated velocity.
