Summary: | The paper explores ideology influence in formation of bodily mediated personal identity. The ideology discourse is being analyzed in relation towards cultural and social hegemonic praxis as a frame in which the ways of social and individual estimates of bodily constructed social functions are determined. The novel “Frida” by Slavenka Drakulić gives the example of bodily mediated identity in context of adjusting to culturally promoted body image under the influence of ideological discourse.
