Description
Summary:In order to study the dynamic response of timber frame in Song Dynasty palace under horizontal acceleration, a series of nonlinear time-history analysis FE models were estallihed. The parameter analysis of the timber frame in Song Dynasty palace by peak horizontal acceleration and column bottom friction coefficient was conducted. The results show that there are four dynamic responses of the timber frame in Song Dynasty palace: rest, slide, pure-rocking, and slide-rocking. The overall slide of the column of timber frame in Song Dynasty paplace only occurs when the friction coefficient of the column bottom is less than the diameter-to-height ratio; When the friction coefficient of column bottom is greater than the diameter-to-height ratio, the column rock mechanism changes from flexible bending to rigid body rocking. The slip values and rotation values of two column are consistent in FE models.
