| description | At the end of the modern era, ex-literal objects began to transform into objects of the
spectacle through the process of symbolic and epistemological transformation. The triumph of the
spectacle which Baudrillard called “the death of history”, brought about a new-gen transmission
system and at this point, all TV programs, video games and websites have become implicit notions
of this complex manipulative system.
Influences of interactions with images have transformed the intellectual narrative form
into the virtual narrative form and after that this virtual form has become the symbol of a new
beginning in historiography. Besides, the soul of this new period re-formalised old-fashioned
epistemologies and empowered this recreated epistemology with the power of images.
In this context, this paper aims to contribute to the discussions about historiography in the
age of spectacle with original and new approaches. |
