Summary:As invasive species are some of the most important drivers of global change in biodiversity and ecosystem services, early detection of invasive species and the ability to track their spreading are of crucial importance. One of the most dangerous invasive plant species in Europe, Heracleum sosnowskyi Manden. H. sosnowskyi, is recorded as a new species in the flora of Serbia. It was found in June 2016 in the area of Belgrade on the left bank of the Danube, near Kovilovo. is Data concerning its morphology, habitat characteristics, flowering period and population size in Serbia are presented in this paper.
