The cytogenetic study of the interspecific larval hybrid of Crassostrau virginica and Crassostrea rhizophorae has been conducted. Only biarmed, homomorphic isopignotic chromosomes were present. Chromosomes of the hybrid karyotype are similar to those of the progenitor species, especially to those of C. virginica
