| description | This work aims to better understand the philosophical foundation of Ethnomathematics in the context of its own production, one of the main objectives being to indicate the possible convergences and philos ophical influences of this area of research and studies. The academic relevance of this project is evident as observed in the lack of field production in this regard. The methodology used in this research is qualitative and documentary. From a literature r eview some researchers‟ texts are selected in order to perform a reflective analysis. In this investigative process, the interpretations and reflections made approach the philosophical ethnomathematical assumptions of postmodern thought, suggesting that Nietzsche's philosophical thought is a possible philosophical foundation of this area of studies. This research seeks to highlight Nietzschean thought as potentially promising for the philosophical development of Ethnomathematics. |
