Summary: | In the currently changing educational scenario, there are three kinds of education, traditional or merely face-to-face teaching,
virtual education and b-learning education, and are attempts to provide an answer to the need of using information and communication technologies (ICT) in all areas of education and across different levels. In order to do so, assorted methodologies, tools and resources are introduced so as to obtain higher levels of motivation and better academic results.
The application of on-line or virtual methodologies in the traditional classroom-based teaching will allow students to become more autonomous and flexible in their study. In this way, the diversity of students is
addressed.
Teacher and students' roles are also changed. On the one hand, teachers are no longer mere transmitters of knowledge and now become learning facilitators. On the other hand, students become active participants of their own learning process.
Blogs are a learning tool and resource within this educational proposal. |
