Anxiety and depression played partial mediation effects between insomnia and burnout with the mediation effect of anxiety and depression accounting for 28.87% and 31.69% of the total effect, respectively. Conclusion: Insomnia may lead to burnout through the parallel mediating effects of anxiety and depression in Chinese nurses.
